JC & MW Suckley is a family-run farm operating in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Powys, growing produce to the highest continuous quality for our customers specifications. While historically much of the business is based around growing crops, recent additions include an Anaerobic Digester and Ground Source Crop Conditioning System, which has become vital to our running.
Quality
We have grown our produce in the UK to the highest quality in the market continuously for over 60 years, following the Red Tractor standards.
Efficiency
We maximise output by increasing efficiency, whilst encouraging sustainable development, as shown by our LEAF Marque accreditation.
In-House
Skilled in-house staff enable us to maximise machinery performance and reduce machinery down time during busy periods. While producing work to the highest standard.
Utilising Resources
The digestate produced as a by-product of our Anaerobic Digester is used as a fertiliser, reducing the carbon footprint of our produce.
Our Produce
Potatoes
We grow a variety of potatoes for crisping, chipping, bagging, feed stock and seed .
Carrots
We grow carrots for the supermarkets and any that do not meet the customer specifications are sold as animal feed.
Cereals & Oil Seed Rape
We grow and sell our high-quality wheat and oil seed rape produce for commercial use.
Forage Crops
We farm forage and grain maize. Forage maize we produce for our anaerobic digester in order to create sustainably produced electricity.
Our Accreditations
Our crops are produced to the Red tractor and LEAF standards, this ensures our produce is of the highest quality, it is responsibly sourced and is farmed in a sustainable way.
Renewables & Sustainability
Sustainability is important to us a JC & MW Suckley and we’re proud of our recent additions, including our Anaerobic Digester, Ground Sources Crop Conditioning Systems and Solar Panels.
We produce sustainable electricity for the national grid from our anaerobic digester, using farm by-products and crops. In 2022 we sold enough electricity to the National Grid to power over *2,200 average households, as well as producing enough green electricity to power our site.
